Elena began her studies at 5 and by age 13, she debuted as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra. In the last seven years she has appeared with major orchestras throughout the United States as solo violinist. These include the Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Pops, Atlanta Symphony, Baltimore Symphony and the Hartford Symphony. She has gained a reputation for her commanding stage presence and the lyricism of her playing.
Pianist Robert Thies' keyboard skills have been enjoyed by patrons in quite a few concerts in past series. He initially captured the world's attention in 1995 when he won the Gold Medal at the Second International Prokofiev Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia. Robert was born in New Jersey, and now calls Los Angeles home. Robert has already performed more than 35 concertos with orchestras all over the world. In fact, in one season alone he performed 13 different concertos, garnering consistent critical acclaim.
